EXTERMINATOR IN MARYLAND Illustrious Veteran and Young Sun Briars at Work at Havre de Grace HAVRE DE GRACE Mil March 2S There arc eight horses in the stable of AVillis Sharpe Kilmer which AVilliam McDaniel has established for spring training at tho Harford Agricultural and Hreedevs Associations course here The Kilmer horses are alieady galloping They were able to begin im ¬ mediately as they had had pluuty of exercise over the covered truck at Mr Kilmers Hinghamton place Sun Hriar Court where they wintered There are two brothers of Sun Briar the juvenile hero of 1U7 in MiDaniels charge a chestnut three yearold called Sunbrae and a chestnut twoyear old named Sunreigh which strikingly resembles Sun Hriar in conformation and carriage only he Is bigger than Sun Hriar was at the iKginning of his twoyearoldcareer funhrao went wrong last year after showing well as a yearling There is a possibility that he may not stand although his legs look good enough There is little doubt hut that Sunreigh will stand and he will probably be a success He could move well last fall and he is showing speed here hereExterminator Exterminator big and strong but with not an ounce of superfluous flesh is the star of the Kilmer harp He is ready for genuine work and will be ready at Havre de Grace to contend in the S5000 Philadelphia Handicap which will be run on the last day of the April meeting and after that prepare for the 5000 Pimlico Spring Handi ¬ cap Exterminator is much farther advanced in training this spring than he was a year ago agoThe The best of the Kilmer threeyearolds are Ilt midge a brother of Luke McLtike which did not train satisfactorily last year lut looks more promising this spring Our Flag a wellyctup son of Cock o the AValk Private Flitg which won at Sura toga last summer and Magic Silence a giant son of Magic lie a son of Martagon which was too big for his legs last year are doing well Our Flag may develop Preakness ami Derby form McDaniel however has not yet got a line on him
