OMAHA INAUGURAL MEETING A SUCCESS The inaugural race meeting at Omaha Neb came to an end Saturday June 11 after eight days of delightful sport It was conducted under the auspices of the AkSarBen Exposition Co and with the permission and under supervision of the newly created State Racing Commission The at ¬ tendance was large the racing clean and whole ¬ some with the class of horses of a better grade than is usually found at an experimental meeting The sponsors of the enterprise were so encouraged that they are already planning big things for the future Omaha has a fine mile track with an imposing gtaiidstand of steel and concrete a plant comparing favorably with any in the West With Omahas most representative people back of the venture there is every reason to believe that racing is firmly established in Nebraska and will grow and prosper la the future
