The shortage of good riders here, partially due to suspensions for rough riding, is responsible for the failure to name some riders of the intended starters in the rich Cincinnati Trophy this afternoon. The Latonia Oaks gives every promise of being a stirring contest and while the P. A. Clark pair are given preference it by no means indicates a walkover for them. But for the recent lameness of Bit of White she would have enjoyed at least equal popularity with the Clark pair. She still has a host of friends and it will cause no surprise if she duplicates Busy Signals success over Cleopatra in the same race last year.
