RING WINS MATCH RACE AT RENO Tlie black mare Ring, a daughter of Leonid and Hands Around, won the title to queen of the turf in the West by defeating Dr. Corbett in a special sweepstakes, at Reno, Saturday, June 25, at four and a half furlongs, each carrying 1.15 pounds. Ring won easily in :53, clipping two-fifths seconds from the truck record made by Apache Kid six years ago.
