MARSHALL FIELD A WINNING OWNER LONDON, England. July 1. The Fulbourne Stakes, for two-year-old colts and fillies, was run at Newmarket today and was won by Marshall Fields Golden Corn. There were thirteen starters. Donoghue rode the winner, which won by six lengths. Tetratema, a hot favorite, won the July Cup easily. Sir IL Cunliffo-OwcHs four-year-old Orpheus, carrying Mil pounds, won the Prince of Wales Stakes by a length and a half. Seven others, which were in receipt of from twelve to thirty pounds from the winner, also ran. King George won the Princess Stakes, while Spring Buck and Blue Dun accounted for the El-lerslie Stakes, winning easily by three lengths. The sale of yearlings was continued today. Lord Derby purchased a filly by Bridge of Earn Addenda, for 20,000. Another filly by Friar Marcus Half Slice, went to Sir Cunliffc for S,500. Mr. Gilpin secured a filly by Sun-dar Herb of Grace for 12,000. and a colt by Swyn ford Pretty Polly brought 3,230. Altogether seventy-nine colts were sold at an average price or 2,025, while seventy-four fillies brought an average of 3,315. These prices do not compare favorably with those obtained at the first July sales in 1920, when seventv-eight colls averaged 3,M5 and sixty-seven fillies "averaged 3,512.
