DEL0RIMIER FEATURE TO SISTER SUSIE MONTREAL. Que.. July 7. Closing with a well-timed rush iu the stietch. under a good ride by Pauley, W. K. Padgetts Sister Susie just got up to beat Koran by a nock in the La Patrie Handicap, the fourth and feature attraction at Delorimier lark this afternoon. Koran hung on gamely when the final test came. My Grade could never improve third position at any stage. Old Poii scored a most decisive victory iu the opening- dash, for Canadian-bred horses, his second success at this mooting. Jockey II. Chappell, who had the mount on Lady Froemoen dining the running of the second race, suffered a badly scraped log when he-came in contact with the fence. The mishap forced him to cancel his remaining engagements and lie will be unable to ride for a few days. Jockey T. Buckles, who suffered such a bad full here yesterday, is still in a critical condition iu the General Hospital and attending physicians liojd out only slight hope for his recovery. Triickstar pulled up lame after the running of the third race. Jiuimie OBrien also cooled out sore. Efficient was nodding when he pulled up after the running of the fifth race. The track is hard and dry as ii result of the cou-Uuued tspell of extreme heat aud lack of rain.
