ENGLISH PRAISE OF OLD ORACLE Here is an "exalted" English item growing out of American comment about a modest cross-country horse. Oracles immodest praise got into the Manchester Sporting Chronicle in this style: "Oracle is a safe jumper that gets his hocks under him perfectly when rising at an obstacle. If he is not sent to England to run in the Liverpool Grand National a great mistake will be made. I consider him of first-class Grand National quality. He is about ten years old, stands sixteen hands, lias great speed, is not bothered by any kind of a jump and can run all day. He is a beautifully bred thoroughbred, being by Oxford Little Gold."
