POLYTHIA began slowly and met witli slight interference in the early tunning, but gained fast when clear and was wearing the leader down at the finish. LAST STRAW saved ground when entering the stretch and made a game finish, but was tiring at the end. BY JIMINY ran well all tin; way. SUPERAVOMAN showed early speed. POLLY ANN finished fast. FRIGATE raced in closest pursuit of TODY from the start and made, a game finish through the stretch, but could not withstand the winners challenge. TODY set a fast pace and tired in the final drive, but finished resolutely. KIRKLEVINGTON was saved in the early running and moved up rapidly in the last eighth, but was cut off at the sixteenth post and was unable to recover. MUSKALLONGE quit badly in tho stretch drive.
