AV011 driving; second and third the same BUCKINGHAM began fast and, saving much ground on. the turns, finished fast and gamely and outstayed SALAMANDER. The latter, away slowly, respondtd gamely to hard riding and was going fast at the end. RED AVINGFIELD ran well and might have won had he been kept close to the inuer rail on the stretch turn, but lost ground there. SETTLE set a fast pace and tired in the last eighth. The latter ran a game race and was going fastest at the finish. PIT was far back for a mile, but closed a gap in the stretch. AKIN ran a line race and finished with a rush. FLAGS had no .mishaps and seemingly tired in the last eighth, but ran as if unfit to race. RAPID DAY was always badly and. showed a high flight of sieed in racing into tlie lead, but tired. RUBY set a fast pace and tired, but finished gamely.
