The three-year-old Sorapis, son of Swceii Little Rock, proved the star of the dispersal sale of the Pelican Stable, conducted at t Belmont Park by the Fasig-Tipton Company this afternoon. He was sold to R. J. Brown for ,400. The sale also included consignments from George AV. Loft. R. F. Carman, A. K. Macomber, Quincy Stable, Riviera Stable and It. Seherrcr. Bidding was lethargic on most of the offerings, and several yearlings purchased at the Saratoga sales were knocked down for small fractions of the prices they brought at the Spa. Dolly Yarden, two-year-old winner, by Sain Everdene, went to J. Brown for ,200. Veiled Colleen, also a juvenile winner this year, was sold to S. Louis for ,550. Gondolier, which was purchased by R. J. Brown fur 82,000, and Joseph II. Levy, which was sold to the same buyer for .,000, were the only others in the sale to draw bids which ran into four figures.
