A parlay made September 28 on Sweepy and Sweet Liberty, without naming the race in which Sweepy was to go, would have been a winner. Geo. R., Louisville, Ky. Beg Pardon never raced in the ownership of E. R. Bradley. His first few races were in the name of tlie Keystone Stable and all following as the property of R. P. Marshall. E. E. C, New Orleans, La. Snob II. did not run on the opening day after the Belmont Park fall meeting, but on the second day he won the Nursery Stakes and was at 2V to 1 opening, 8 to 5 closing, 3 to 5 place and 1 to 4 show. L. H. M., Los Angeles, Cal. The Mayflower which ran at Willows Park in race 56451 is a filly or mare of unknown pedigree. The Mayflower which won race 56137 at Lexington is a three-year-old filly, by Harrigan Lady Hildrcth. C. D. S., Chicago, 111. A is mistaken. If one horse of a parlay loses the parlay is lost. Tlie matter of a limit cuts no figure in the case. There is no such rule as A quotes, but there is a rule that says one can not lose if he had no chance to win when the bet was made.
