. MARYLAND RACING DATES FOR 1922k TWENTY-THREE DAYS ALLOWED EACH OF FOUR MILE p TRACKS — SPRING PERIOD FROM APRIL I TO MAY 13 — FALL MEETINGS BEGIN SEPTEMBER 20, END NOVEMBER 30 £ BALTIMORE. Md., February 11. — The Maryland Racing ConiniLssion has announced the dates assigned to the four mile tracks for the year 1922. Each track has been given twenty-three days racing, divided into two meetings— one in the spring, the other in the fall— except in the case of Laurel, where, as in previous years, only one meeting of twenty-three days during the month of October will be held. W. The sport will begin at Bowie on Saturday. April 1, and continue there for twelve dayc. , i This meeting will be followed bv ten davs at Havre de Grace and twelve davs at Pimlico, :l the Marvland Jockey Club holding forth from May 1 to May 13. during which time the valu- a able Preakness Stakes will be run. From May 13 to September 20 racing in Maryland will be ,, confined to the half-mile tracks and fairs. On the latter date Havre will open for the fall ■ meetings, which end at Bowie on November 30. The management of each track has been notified the assignment of dates will become " effective with t!ie filing within ten days of the track budget for this year.
