w CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF That old turf warrior of the world Robert S. Sievier. owner of the English Winning Post, is in bad health and not expected to recover. G. H. Knebelkamp purchased Superbum from H. T. Griffin, and she ran in his interest in the two-year-olds race at the Fair Grounds Thursday. Jockey Clarence Turner has left New Orleans for Laurel, Md., to report to trainer Henry McDaniel at the J. K. L. Ross farm. He will assist in preparing the Ross horses for their early spring campaign. The English Manchester racing authorities, fearful j of small entries to their recent meeting, offered 0 to each starter.
