March 20.— Manager Roy Carruthers. the popular manager of the Waldorf-Astoria and the friend of all racing men of class in this country, is going to take a well-earned three [■Maths vacation. Mr. Carruthers laft last week lor California, sails from San Francisco at once and 1s to arrive at Yokohama, Japan. April 2. From there he will ramble through the Japanese cities With a hotel mans keen eye and go in early May to southern China, especially Tienstiu and Hoiig Kong. Mr. Carruthers will sail home from the English island through southern seas, to be back in little old New York about June 20 — a most interesting trip.
