CANADIAN BREEDING GAIN Distribution of High Bred Stallions Bought in England by Secretary Frazer TORONTO Ont April 25 The English stallions which were purchased during the wjnter by VV P Frazer for the Canadian Racing Associations for the improvement of saddle horses hunters and horses required j for the militia force in Canada are being distributed to various points in the province for breeding purposes The horses were pa ¬ raded and photographed at Woodbine Park yesterday previous to their departure They are magnificent specimens of the type re ¬ quired and should do a world of good in On ¬ tario tarioTwo Two of the stallions General Probyn by FarimanPrim Nun and Spring Wheat by Santry April Princess were bred by his majesty the king One of them will probably go to the Ottawa Valley district and the other to Ailsa Craig CraigQuartz Quartz Rock a fouryearold brown colt by Rock Flint Christie has been sent to Waterloo WaterlooMcNeill McNeill the handsome chestnut by Neil Gow Pernelle has already been bred to a number of thoroughbred mares at Woodbine Park and this morning left for James Boi vards farm at Brampton where he will stand for the season seasonAlasnam Alasnam by Alpha II Sunny Lass which was foaled in 1916 and still a young horse was in training over the jumps when Mr Frazer purchased him He is a fine type of a horse and a great acquisition to the breed ¬ ers of this country On the turf he scored many notable victories among them being the Derby Cup at one mile and threequar ¬ ters the Chesterfield Cup at one mile and a quarter at Goodwood beating Keysoe and Abbots Trace and ran second in the Liver ¬ pool Autumn Cup being only beaten a scant half length It is not yet known where he will be placed placedRed Red King by Roi Herode Penance and Cattegat by Radium Catgut the latter a good winner on the turf complete the list of English stallions In addition Springside win ¬ ner of the Kings Plate In 1918 has been se ¬ cured and will also be put out to some point in the province
