RACKET ran well, but swerved out after heading ATHLETE and finished In the middle of the track. ATHLETE set a fast pace to the last eighth and tired. CHAMPLAIN was taken back and saved in the early running and was cut off when his rider attempted to come through on the inside in the strecth, but was best and un- lucky to lose.
