BLUE GRASS STATE NEWS LEXINGTON, Ky.. July IS. Mrs. Mary E. Robinson, 85, widow of General James F. Robinson, former president of the Kentucky Association, which was merged into the Kentucky Jockey Club, died this morning at her residence in this city. The funeral of jockey Raymond M. Davies, who died at Ashland, Ky., Sunday morning as the result of injuries sustained when the mare Mable Trask fell with him during the racing over the half-mile track in City Park last Thursday, was held yesterday afternoon. Interment was in Lexington Cemetery. John H. Nichols has purchased from William Rees of Carthage, Ohio, the three-year-old filly Miss Cliborne, by Zeus Moonshine, by Peep oDay, and the two-year-old filly India, by The Manager Miss Bellamy. They arrived at the Kentucky Jockey Club track here yesterday. S. Kenney Nichols, owner of Spring Valley Farm, is ill with pneumonia at his home near this city.
