THREE SQUAItE raced in closest pursuit and, finishing fast and gamely, would have won in a few more strides. PAISLEY was hard ridden all the way and ran well, but could not improve his position. CORK ELM finished with a belated rush. ROCK SALT showed speed. IIILLHOrSS had no mishaps. COHUAC ran poorly. BROCADE made a game rush in the stretch and met with slight interference, then came again, but the leaders held her safe. SEGOVIA ran green for the first half and finished fast. SPEEDBALL could not improve her position. STELLA MARIS showed the most speed for a half mile and tired.
