KEMP TON PAEKS GOOD SPORT MONTREAL., Que., July 31. Though without a feature todays racing at Kcmpton Park attracted an unusually large Monday crowd and spirited racing prevailed. A race tor Canadian owners attracted much interjst. this being a dash of five and a half furlong3, in which the winner turned up in Avion, owned by W. G. Campbell. The winner finished on the extreme outside of the track, where going was the best, to snatch the verdict from Hillsburg in the final strides. The Belgian II. just got up to be third. Captain Greet took a fair band of sprinters into camp in easy fashion in the fourth, over the three-quarters mile distance, showing tho way throughout Jockeys S. AVida and W. Taylor each rode two winners during the afternoon. A mile and three-quarters race will be run on the closing day of the meeting. Thursday, and a large entry is .expected. It is stated that the second meeting will bo run at King Edward Park immediately following the meeting at Delorimier. The latter starts Saturday. Purses of ?300 will be hung up.
