LILT left the barrier with a rush and, sprinting Into a safe lead, saved ground on all the turns and, nfter being shaken up in the stretch, was going away at the finish. IaADY IIOSS dwelt when the barrier was sprung and easily drew away from the others into second place, but could not get to the leader. ISUC ADO ran well and finished gluncly. OLD TOl ran a game race. Won easily; second and third driving. BUTCHER BOY jumped well and set a fast pace all the way. shook off ST. PAUL at the final jump and saved ground when entering the stretch, but was tiring at the end. FLYING FROG was outrun for the first turn of the field, but closed up steadily in the stretch. BRIGANNA closed up ground in the last lialf. ST. PAUL was much used in racing with the winner and, coining wide when entering the 6lretch, tired badly. OHARA with a rush, was going away at the finish. JAMES F. OHARA sprinted into the lead soon after the start, but tired when challenged by the winner. IRISH DREAM raced in nearest pursuit, but came very wide on the last turn and lost ground. BABY GRAND ran a bad race for him. DESPAIR saved ground while rounding the first turn and raced into a clear lead, bnt was tiring through the stretch and, swerving to the outside, slightly impeded FAIR GAIN, but finished resolutely. FAIR GAIN raced closely with the leader all the way and came wide on the stretch turn, but closed up with a rush in the final sixteenth and appeared the winner at the seventy-yards post, TRIBUNE closed b gap and finished fast. GRAY GABLES was shuffled back at the start and under restraint to the stretch, but could not get up when called on. SANGRADO showed speed. Scratched C3297 Parisian Diamond, 109; C3G5C!Finery, 95.
