RUSTEM raced forwardiy, saved ground on the turns and, finishing gamely, outstayed DANlEk. The latter moved np rapidly on the stretch turn, hut tired in the closing strides. LADY MYHA was poorly ridden and finished with a belated rush. ALX.IE OCHS was prominent tiie early running, but tired after going a half mile. Won driving; second and third the same. nALU, running in improved form, followed RED LEGS closely in the early running and, making a close turn when entering the stretch, took the lead, but was hard ridden to withstand RED LEGS challenge. The latter mailed into the lead and showed the most speed, but ran out on the last turn, .then came again and was slowly wearing the winner down. MOODY ran well and finished gamely. BILLY WATTS was in close quarters cn the backstretch and was forced back, but when clear finished with a great burst of speed. TANGERINE began slowly, but finished fast and wore BANKER BROWN down for third place. BANKER BROWN set a great pace and tired badly in the final eighth. COSTIGAN was a forward contender, hut was forced to race wide cn all the turns and, finishing fast and gamely, would have won in a few more strides. WELLFINDER raced well, but tired in the last eighth. BILLY BARTON closed a gap and finished fast. TllEVELYAN was never a serious contender. CALIGULA set a fast pace to the stretch and quit. TOIL followed the leader closely for five-eighths, but tired when forced to a drive. SURF RIDER raced well up all the way, but also was tiring at the end. PIRATE GOLD was ridden wide on the turns.
