INQUISITION raced close up from the start and, standing a hard drive after taking the lead on the last turn, outstayed SPATS in a game finish. The latter moved into close contention with a rush after going the first eighth and would have won but for coming wide into the stretch. LENA CLARK ran a good nice and made a fast finish. GLYN set a fast early pace, but began tiring in the last eighth. WAYWARD LADY closed a gap after making a slow beginning. LUGS was always outrun. POMPOUS raced in nearest and game pursuit throughout. THE CLOWN came from far back and, although coming wide on the last turn, closed a big gap. GAIL FORD showed speed, but tired near the end.
