"Won driving; second and third the same. LURA, after racing in closest pursuit, wore VIBRATE down in the stretch and won because best ridden at the finish. VIBRATE showed the most early speed, but tired and was beaten through weak riding. ROSS R. ran well and drew away from FREEZY SNEEZY in the last sixteenth. Won easily; second and third driving. JOYCE HOFFMAN followed the leaders until well into the homestretch, where she rushed into the lead and was going away at the end. HOPEFUL came fast from the head of the stretch, but could never get to the winner. COMMANDER COLIN gained steadily and finished fast on the outside. PITTSBURG set a good pace to the stretch and quit. ANTICIPATE was much used in forcing the pace and, tiring after taking the lead, just lasted long enough to outstay BEVERLY BELLE. The latter was a forward contender all the way and finished gamely. BETSINDA dropped far back in the early running and Onished with a u cless rush. PETER PIPER set a great pace and quit in the last quarter. Scratched C465STitania, 10G. Won driving: second and third the same. PRIMO saved ground on all the turns, raced WAR FOX into defeat in the first three-quarters and outfinished AZRAEL in the stretch drive. The latter moved up with a rush on the outside after rounding the far turn, but tired after getting on equal terms with the winner. WAR FOX raced into the lead and drew away from BLARNEY BOY in the last sixteenth, but tired. The latter quit after seeming dangerous at the head of the homestretch. Scratched 04092 Bengore, 107. The latter was much used in racing DARK HILL into defeat and tired after taking the lead. DARK HILL quit in the last quarter after setting a fast early pace.
