GAME SCRAPPER raced into the lead with a rush after rounding the far turn, but tired when challenged. ROCKGARDEN set the early pace and was a forward contender after being passed. Won driving; second and third the same. PURL gradually improved his position and, coming fast through the stretch, outstayed KUKLUX in a game finish. The latter closed a gap and finished fast after making a wide turn when entering the homestretch. MANNA showed the most early speed, but tired after setting a fast pace to the stretch. THE NEPHEW and TAMPER ran well. The latter came wide on the stretch turn, but finished fast and would have won in a few more strides. FLEA raced into a small lead, but tired in the last sixteenth. MALLOWMOT set the early pace, but gave way when challenged. GALLIPOT ran fairly welL GALLOU-BERRY ran a good half and quit. NOONAN. The latter ran one of his occasional good races and finished in resolute fashion after coming on the outside when entering the homestretch. FINERY was taken up at the start when TAILOR MAID crossed over in front of her, but ran well and made a game finish. HARMONIOUS ran poorly.
