CANADAS LEADING STABLE Powerful Aggregation of Stars That Make Up J. K. L. Ross Racing Establishment. Commander J. K. L. Ross has not been long identified -with racing as an owner, but It did not take the Montreal turfman long to become a prominent figure on the turt once liis colors were registered and his stable established. Regardless of cost he gathered together a formidable aggregation of horses and with the acquisition of Cudgel, Billy Kelly and other stars, was the leading owner in 1918, the first time that honor ever fell to a Canadian turfman. Again In 1919 the Ross establishment reigned supreme, but in the following year he had to be content with second place, although the total winnings of 1920 considerably exceeded the totals for the two years of his supremacy. Last year Commander Ross finished in second place. His campaign this year has been for the most part confined to the Canadian tracks, where his horses have met with overwhelming success, so much so that they have won collectively the sum of 35,703, assuring Mr. Ross a high standing among the winning owners of the year.
