t I . j J j ! J t 1 3 , . 0 0 0 LEADING AMERICAN JOCKEYS Considerable activity in the ranks of the leading riders of the year was a noticeable feature of last weeks racing. A majority of them increased their score, J. Owens adding seven to his total, while T. Wilson, scc-. ond on the list, rode five winners, as did P. Martinez. M. Garner, H. Long, C. Turner and D. Sterling also figured prominently, each with four victories. The race for the premier honors of the year is now tightening up and it behooves the leaders to maintain their advantage or be replaced.
