Won easily; second and third driving. AVION took the lead after going the first eighth and easily held the race safe through the stretch. MORMON gained steadily on the inside through the stretch, but barely lasted to outstay RAGAZZA. The latter finished fast and gamely. HINDOOSTAN was practically left and closed a great gap as if best. BLACK HACKLE ran out in the stretch and finished on the extreme outside after showing much speed.
