DAYDUE, under slight restraint in the early running, outstayed GLADIATOR through the stretch. GLADIATOR was well ridden throughout but tired in the final drive. DOUGHNUT finished gamely. DOMINGO, jumping splendidly, followed the leaders on the extreme outside under restraint until atthe thirteenth jump, where he took the lead and drew away to win with speed in reserve. REPARATION raced prominently throughout and jumped in good style but tired and was swerving out through the last eighth. BLACK FOX jumped a trifle awkwardly, but displayed speed and responded gamely when called on near the end. MEADOW GRASS II. raced forwardly for a mile and a half. DIAMOND DICK, running in greatly improved form, took the lead quickly and drew away at once and was shaken up near the end, but always held the race safe. LADY ROSE was forced back at the elbow and came to the outside when clear, then finished gamely, but could not overhaul the winner. BOWSPRIT ran well and outfinished JENNIE C. The latter began slowly and was forced to race wide for the entire race. MARGARET LORETTA tired in the final eighth RUNMATII collided with SOVIET at the start and un-seated the latters rider. CHERRY PIE was always in closest pursuit, but tired In the stretch and had to be hard ridden to with stand nEREMONS challenge. The latter was a forward contender all the way and, finishing fast and gamely, would have been second in a few more strides OSP.REY had nos mishaps and iias unable to improve I his position. CANYON was restrained behind QUESADA until well into the stretch, then raced into the lead and won going away. QUESADA was rushed into the lead and, setting a fast pace, saved ground on the turns and finished gamely, but tired in the final sixteenth. OVERTAKE closed up steadily in the final half while racing on the extreme outside, but the two leaders held him safe. SUNNYLAND ran well. HOBGOBLIN was hard ridden for the entire race and finished resolutely. SAKAH raced on the inside all the way and outstayed GADFLY in the final drive. The latter ran well. COEUR.DE LION finished gamely. PITTSTON was eased up in the stretch.
