WHIPPET raced into the lead on the last turn and made a game, but tiring, finish. BLACK TOP came fast, through the last quarter. RAILBIRD moved up rapidly in the last sixteenth. WOODIE MONTGOMERY set a good pace to the last turn, but began to tire when a quarter out. LOUIS was hampered on the far turn, but ran a bad race and far below his true form.
