FITZRUE began slowly and was outpaced in the early running, but worked his way up on the outside and, after racing wide on the turns, wore FAIR LAVANA down to win going away. The latter showed the most early speed and set a good pace, but was weakly ridden when it came to the finish.. KADIN finished with a rush through the last sixteenth. The latter, away slowly, raced around the leaders on the far turn and was wearing the winner down with every stride. NIGHTSTICK, from a slow beginning, closed a gap and finished with a rush. WAR TANK was close up in the early running, but tired badly. DEVONITE ran poorly. GARFIELD set a fast pace to the stretch, but quit when challenged. SHOOT AWAY raced in closest and game pursuit all the way and outstayed LADS LOVE. The latter was fractious at the barrier, but ran in much im-proped form and finished gamely. ELTRYM set a fast early pace, but ran out in the stretch and had to be ridden out to outstay AUNT LIN. The latter slipped through ou the inside and finished fast. P. MOODY quit after going a quarter. YORKIST dropped far back in the early running and came with a useless rush in the middle of the track. IRISH JIG was not persevered with. LADY MEAVE bled and was pulled up. The latter set a fast pace to the stretch and tired badly. BECKNA quit. LUCKY GIRL was in a contending position when she crossed her legs and fell at the eighth post. ROSEATE fell over her.
