ST0NEHAM DONATES RECOUNT Old Racer Will Be Turned Over to Breeding Bureau After Empire Meeting. NEW YORK, October 11. Charles A. Stonehara has decided to donate Recount, the seven-year-old son of Ballot Censure, by Star Ruby, to the breeding bureau of the Jockey Club. The old horse cost ,000 as a yearling when he was bought by Thomas Welsh for the late Andrew Miller, and he has been a good and consistent winner. As he is nearing the close of his racing career, Mr. Stoneham wants to find a good home for the son of Ballot. With this end in view he has ofered the stallion to the breeding bureau and at the close of the Empire meeting Recount will have a new home. Recount ought to do well for the breeding bureaus campaign of general purpose horse improvement in this state. He should make an ideal horse to sire cavalry remounts as he is not too large and has the right lines. : i !
