TO EXHIBIT ENGLISH STALLIONS AT FAIR TORONTO, Ont., November 1. In com-1 plance with the request of the directors of the Royal Winter Fair, Mr. W. P. Fraser, secretary of the Ontario Jockey Club and Canadian Racing Associations, has notified general manager A. P. Westervelt that the twelve thoroughbred stallions purchased by the Canadian Racing Associations in England a year ago for breeding purposes in Canada will be shown at the Royal Winter Exposition and Horse Show in the Royal Coliseum the week of November 22. In meeting the wishes of the Royal Winter Fair Mr. Fraser states the executive of the Canadian Racing Associations stipulates that the stallions must not compete with horses owned by private individuals, and can, therefore, be shown for exhibitions purposes only. AVith the arrival of these horses from England they were placed at the disposal of the Dominion government and in May last they were sent put to various parts of Ontario, and now have returned to Toronto, where they will be stabled for the winter. They were sent through the province as a gift to Canadian horse breeders, and in many cases the upkeep expense has been born by the Canadian Racing Associations.
