CHEATERS APPEAL DENIED LONDON, England, October 9. The Court of Criminal Appeal refused an application for leave to appeal, made by George Hunt, who was sentenced to three years penal servitude at Swansea Assizes for racing! frauds. The Lord Chief Justice said Hunt, I with two others, obtained about ,250,000 by duping people into the belief that they had a wonderful system of backing horses. They were guilty of a gigantic fraud and the application was essentially frivolous.
