Won handily; second and third driving. TASSEL was saved close up to the stretch turn, from where she moved up steadily on the inside and, finishing gamely, raced into the lead and won going away. REAP finished fast in the middle of the track, but was tiring in the final drive. RACKET was shuflled back early, but worked her way up on the inside into a fast-going third. ELIZA 15 E ATI! MAAVRCORON was saved under restraint to the stretch turn, where he raced to the front with a rush, but tired and just lasted long enough to outstay DOUBLE CROSS. The latter began slowly, but worked his way up on the outside and made a fast finish. SCOTLAND YIST ran well and outgamed MONTALVO in tin? stretch drive. MONTALVO showed the most early speed, but tired after leading to the stretch. BETTY J. finished well. MAAVRCORON, entered for ,500, was bid up to ,500 and sold to II. Durnan. BIGHEART set a fast pace and withstood a challenge front HILDUR at the head of the homestretch, but was tiring at the end. HILDUR ran a good race, but also tired in the last fifty yards.
