AUSTRALIAN TUSFMAK VISITS OEISNTAL PAEK HAVANA, CUBA, December 9. A. K. Phillips of Sydney, Australia and his wife were Oriental Park guests Friday and Saturday afternoon. Mr. Phillips is a member of the Australian Jockey Club and is keenly interested in the thoroughbred sport. He is making a tour of the world and plans to return to Sydney the early part of 1924. "We have some very large racing estab-ments in Australia," said Mr. Phillips, "but no club house as elaborate and complete as this one at Oriental Park. "While the Australian Jockey Club really originated the saddle cloth system and starting with the barrier, I find in Cuba these things are familiar, even though these things have been improved since their adaption". Mr. Phillips will remain in Havana for a week, during which time he will be a daily visitor at the club house and a guest of general manager Frank J. Bruen.
