WELLBRED SUSIANA Scores Her Fifth Triumph of Present Havana Meeting Chief Sponsor Accounts for Prin ¬ cipal Race of Day Thrilling Finishes Delight Crowd HAVANA Cuba Jan 14 Todays pro ¬ gram at Oriental Park was made up of a series of claiming races which while devoid of a special feature was evenly balanced and keen contests resulted Susiana was the easiest winner of the afternoon and her victory came with the running of the third race a dash of five and a half furlongs which she won with ridiculous ease by five lengths Susiana is a well beu filly by Rock View and the Star Shoot mare Stellata and races for A P Doyle a business man of Savannah Ga Todays race was her seventh at this meeting and on five of thesa occasions she has been returned the vinner finishing second or third in her other races Susiana was ridden by F Merimee and was the well backed favorite She outran the others from the start setting a fast pace in the homestretch and drawing into a long llead Chile finished second and Confederacy third thirdThe The fourth race brought out the best field of the day The western turfman J A Parson furnished the winner in the Cana dianbred Chief Sponsor G Williams rode the Parson racer and kept him off the fast pace set by The Boy until straightened out in the homstretch where he moved up in the final eighth easily disposing of his op ¬ ponents to win at the end by a length and a quarter from Cock o the Roost The lat ¬ ter began slowly but closed fast beating the tiring Janku by a length and a half for sec ¬ ond place placeSEPARATED SEPARATED BY INCHES
