ENGLISH HORSES ARRIVE Bundle Brendon English Polo PoloPlayer Player Will Invade the theAmerican American Courses NEW YORK N T March 20 Down at Bolmont Park six English thoroughbreds owned by the English polo player Rundle Brendon arc in the process of becoming accli ¬ mated for a campaign on American tracks during the coming season seasonUnheralded Unheralded the invading sextet arrived last week from England on the Atlantic Transport Companys steamship Mississippi consigned to Dr R W McCully They were sent at once to Belmont Park ParkMr Mr Brendon is expected to arrive soon with his trainer and possibly an English rider In the meantime the horses are in charge of W A Reed who is acting for Mr Brendon pending the latters arrival arrivalAlthough Although the stables plans are as yet not known in detail it is understood that the in ¬ vaders will be raced on the metropolitan circuit through the coming season The Brendon expedition will be the first invasion of American courses by an English stable since ISO when Colonel J T North known is the nitrate king sent his horses here from England to race He started two horses in the Metropolitan Handicap at Morris Park opening meeting May 31 1S93 These were Iddlesleigh and Arturo The former finished fourth but the latter fell and had to be de ¬ stroyed stroyedFollowing Following are the Brendon horses at Bel niont Park 1enroso II h m 5 by Cylsad Desmonds Rose Roseby by Desmond Girl Nancy b in 5 by The White Knight Rill Rillby by St Serf Faskadale b c 4 by Simon Square Fairy by bySt St Anpelo British Warm b s 4 by Mackintosh Gavarnie Gavarnieby by Ie Var Unnamed bay filly 3 by Chaucer Cyclamen by bytyllcno tyllcno Fsmclus b f 2 by Polymelus Esmeraldo by byFowlingpiece Fowlingpiece
