G D WIDENER COLLECTiON COLLECTiONTrainer Trainer A J Joyner Has String of ofTwenty Twenty to Carry Philadelphi Philadelphians ans Colors This Year NEW YORK N Y March 23 At Belmont Park the veteran A J Joyner who trained Dovelet dam of Goshawk and Inaugural dam of Whiskaway and a lot of others for Mr Whitney in England where he also bred the dam of Enchantment has the stains of twenty head belonging to George D Widener in rugged condition ready to go into real work as soon as the weather is favorable There are seventeen twoyear olds by Trompe la Mort Aeronaut and Am ¬ bassador II The former is represented by several good colts but it is his fillies that attract the eye Parasol out of Feminist by Voter Comedy out of Farce by Hire aux Larmes and Radiancy cut of Sunglow by Sundridge are all conspicuous for their quality Another one is by Ultimus out of Queen of the Water The star among the colts is St James a powerful but neatly turned solid bay with black points by im ¬ ported Ambassador II from imported Bobo iink II by Willonyx and the next dam the great Shelandry A typical Dark Ronald was Joynerls comment as the colt was ranged in his cozy box for inspection inspectionOther Other twoyearolds conspicuous for their size and quality that were seen are Ladkin by Fair Play from Lading by Negofol Audience by Ormondale from Dona Rcca by Keck Sand Catalan by Fair Play Cat ¬ tish by Tracery Bevy by Fair Play Bel vale by Watervale Oval sister to Osurey Fair Monica by Fair Play Moneta by Spearmint Blind Play by Fair Play Blue Glass by Prince Palatine and Lucky Pla by Pair Play from the dam of Lucky Hour all the property of Major August Belmont BelmontIt It will be difficult to lind a more promising band of twoyearolds Ladkin is a giant chestnut for whom great things are prophe ¬ sied by the experts Audience is a half brother to Dunlin and a typical Ormondale in color and conformation It is impossible to write about Bevy without using expletives She has everything to recommend her size quality and conformation Oval is a neat miss and so is Fair Monica the best con ¬ tribution of her dam to date Lucky Play is as big as Lucky Hour already a sober sensible colt a part of whose duty it has been to lead Messenger in his trotting exer ¬ cises cisesOther Other attractive juveniles seen are Nellie Kelly by His Majesty Fairy Wand by Star Shoot owned by G A Cochran Garconnieri by Trompe la Mort Bradamante by Bay ardo the filly by Luke McLuke Black Bro ¬ cade by Neil Gow and the filly by Mont dOr Nell Gwynne by William the Third in the stable of J E Widener Still others that are conspicuous are Apprehension by Friar Rock from a sister to Sweep Faenza by McGee Stolen Moments by Kingston and Mac OBoy by Sweep from the dam of Penrose in the Oakridge Stable
