Here is a good likeness of the three -year-old colt by George Smith — Inspiration, by Ayrshire, for which Mr. Benjamin Block, owner of Morvich, paid 7,000 at the dispersal sale of the late H. H. Hewitt horses. Aspiration ran the fastest mile of any two-year-old racing last year when at the Latonia fall meeting he beat Oui Oui, Bo McMillan, Chittagong, Watchful Waiting, Triumph, Prince K. and Great Luck in 1:38 3-5. He is training at Lexington to the satisfaction of his owner and trainer and has attracted quite a following in "future" book wagering, being backed down from 50 to 1 to 30 to 1.
