Won ridden out; second and third driving. BRAVO, under restraint in the early running, moved up steadily when called on and wore JOCOSE down in the last eighth to win going away. JOCOSE began fast and raced into a long lead, but tired and gave way when challenged. TULSA began slowly, but saved ground when entering the stretch and closed a big gap in the last quarter. ANTILLES retired after racing well to the last eighth. MAIZE made up ground. WARLIKE displayed early speed. SCOURGEMAN raced poorly. CARMEN PANTAGES was a forward contender all the way and finished gamely. SUNNY GIRL made up ground and finished fast. FINALITY showed much early speed, but came wide into the stretch and tired. MONDAY MORNING, under an energetic ride, showed great speed and, setting a fast pace, came wide when entering the stretch, but held his lead resolutely when challenged and outfinished MUSKALLONGE. The latter followed the leader in closest pursuit under slight restraint and was forced wide by the leader on the stretch turn and lost ground, but closed up steadily and was wearing the winner down in the closing strides. MAWRCORON raced forwardly and gamely throughout. LEFFARE closed a gap and made a fast finish. VACUUM was hard ridden, but was unable to improve his position. SEQUEL ran well. WHISK began flatfooted and was saved to the stretch, where he came fast and finished gamely, but tiring. IRISH PAT was badly outrun for three-quarters, but closed up steadily in the stretch.
