MY OWN ARRIVING TODAY Trainer Burch to Finish His Preparation Over Latonia Track. 1 Interest at Fever Heat Over Merits of Two Stars Kentucklans Sticking to In DIemoriam. LATONIA, Ky., Oct 2D. Word came today from Maryland that trainer P. M. Burch had arranged to send Admiral Cary T. Graysons crack colt. My Own, here tomorrow and finish his preliminary training for the Latonia Championship at this track to enable him to familiarize himself with surroundings and get a few gallops over the racing course on which, next Saturday, he will be called on to make the epochial contest in his career. livery arrangement has been made by the management here for the reception of the noted racer and trainer Burch need not worry over the precautionary measures that will be applied lor My Owns comfort and safety. Considerable interest centers in My Own in these parts for the colt has not performed on Kentucky courses. Zev has. His Kentucky Lerby victory would still have been fresh in the memory of racing enthusiasts here, if his subsequent successes culminating in the victory over Papyrus in the International race rtcently, had not given him added prominence. The controversy that has been going on steadily by partisans of My Own that the Grayson owned colt is superior to Zev has penetrated in this section. Those who have witnessed both colts perform have a leaning towards My Own, and their propaganda has found fertile ground, with the result that it will be a fifty-fifty public, as far as the two performers are concerned, when they meet next Saturday. There is no disposition to detract from In Mc-moriani, which will be the Kentuckians mainstay. The western colt has qualified for championship honors and his pretentions to carry the three-year-old crown is founded on sound performances, including his victory in the Illinois Derby. His owner is confident that he will measure up to Zev and My Owns standard and will support his judgment with a substantial wager. Zev is expected to leave New York Wednesday and arrive the following day. Owner Sinclair has notified Col. Matt J. Winn Ihat he will bring a party of friends here to witness the race and has requested that two boxes be reserved for him and his guests. The only reserved sections in all stands will be the boxes. Entrance to the club house will entail an additional admission of over the general admission fee. Requests for reservation continues to flood the Latonia management.
