Won driving; second and third the same. FAIRLIGHT set the pace gamely and. withstanding challenges from ELSBETH, saved ground on the last turn and outfinished DOLLY GAFFNEY in the final drive. The latter worked her way up steadily from a slow beginning and finished fast. DUSK ran a good race and was coming fast at the end. ELSBETH was much used in fcrcing the pace and tired in the stretch. SALMON raced Into prominence, but tired in the final drive. PAWNBROKER quit. HANDS UP made up ground Scratched 71430 Belle of Plymouth, 112; 75398 Amity Claim, 105. Won easily; second and third driving. AUTUMN BELLS took an easy lead at the fourth jump and. drawing far away, won in a canter. ST. LAWRENCE was under hard riding all the way and outstayed ROCK BASS. The latter tired badly in the last half mile. TASSEL lost her rider at the eleventh jump, but was remounted and finished for fourth mcney. NORTH WALES was outrun to the stretch, but gained steadily on the outside of the leaders in the last eighth and, finishing gameiy and racing into the lead, won going away. BY JIMINY raced into the lead on the backstretch, but tired in the stretch drive. MARY MAXIM set the early pace and raced forwardly throughout. NIGHT RAIDER could never get to the leaders. ROYAL DUCK raced wide on the first turn and closed a gap after losing ground. CARE FREE, prominent in the early running, quit in the last half mile. SUN QUEST raced prominently all the way and finished close up. WILDRAKB raced well, but was tiring at the end. THIMBLE and MISS SMITH began flatfooted and were as good as left. JOHN PAUL JONES set a grod pace to the far turn, but could not withstand the winners challenge and just lasted to outstay HIGH PRINCE. The latter finished fast on the outside of the leaders. The latter set a terrific pace and was tiring at the end from his early efforts. JUNH GRASS finished gamely. WELLFINDER was interfered with on the turnout of the backstretch and was forced to be taken up. EULALIA ran poorly.
