Won easily; second and third driving. BEN VALET, racing in a forward position from the start, responded well when called on in the stretch and, taking the lead, drew away in the last sixteenth. SPATS showed the most speed from the starfand set a fast pace, but tired near the end. CHARLES HENRY ran well and was gaining at the end. TODY had no mishaps. BEN BOLT tired. ARCTIC KING finished welL SISTER FLO lost her rider after going the first eighth. The latter finished fast and gamely and would have won in another stride. LEVOY showed the most early speed, but began tiring near the end. LADY BURROWS ran well and had no mishaps. ELIAS O. was ridden wide on the turns, but finished fast and gamely. MISS MEISE was taken back to come around the leaders and, losing ground when coming into the stretch, tired near the end. GREAT JAZ wore BETTY BEALL down before reaching the stretch and, passing her, suffered some interference when PEGASUS came over closely. BETTY BEALL set a wonderful pace, but tired in the stretch. CLARK showed improvement in setting a fas pace for three-quarters. LADY MADCAP had no mishaps. WHISKAWAY sulked after going a fast half mile.
