Won handily; second and third driving. WHEATON, racing well in the going and given an excellent ride, was rushed into the lead in the first sixteenth and kept it. but was doing his best at the end. STEP ALONG began fast and was taken back , to come around the lead shortly after entering the stretch and finished fast and gamely. EVELYN ran a good race and was best of the ethers in the going. CARNARVON, helped by the going, was in closest pursuit from the start and, gaining steadily I -in the stretch, got up to win in the last few strides. FAR EAST began fast and, under hard riding, showed the most speed, but began tiling in the last sixteenth. DAN ROLLING closed a gap in the stretch and was running gamely at the end. HYSTERIA ran a good race. KIRAII tired. Won driving; second and third the same. BYRON broke well and, under good riding, was close up from the start and, saving ground on the stretch turn,, finished gamely and outstayed NORSELAND. The latter began slcwly, but saved much ground when coining into the stretch and ran a good and game race. TELESCOPE showed the most speed and but for being brought wide into the stretch might have won. DEROXDA was unprepared at the start and had to close a big gap. MARGARET VARK was hard I ridden for the first three-quarters, but stumbled and blundered In the stretch when tiring. RICHELIEU I set a good pace, but quit after reaching the stretch.
