The latter, away slowly, closed a big gap in a fast finish, but pulled up lame from a spread foot. POLLY WALE tired after racing in closest pursuit of the winner to the last sixteenth. HELEN COOK tired after racing into the lead. BROWN BELLI? finished gamely. ARCTIC KING made up ground.
