TO RETIRE LADY MADCAP NEW ORLEANS, La.. Feb. 3. The present meeting at the Fair Grounds will wind up the racing career of Lady Madcap, the good mare that has scored so many victories in the colors of Desha Breckinridge, the Lexington, Ky., publisher. George Land, who is handling the mare, will give her a few more races and in the course of a few weeks will ship her to Goodloes farm near Lexington, where she will be used for breeding purposes. Lady Madcap is highly bred, and has been a great favorite on the Kentucky tracks, where she has performed most consistently.
