A RACE OF MUCH PROMISE NEW ORLEANS, La., Feb. 2. The Esplanade Handicap, with ,000 added, at one mile, which is the next feature to be decided at the Fair Grounds next Saturday, has attracted a splendid list of entries, comprising the cream of the stars here. Several first-time starters will make their debut to a racing public in these parts. Weight assignments will be made Thursday by secretary Joseph McLennan to the following twenty-six nominees: Cherry Tree, Triumph, Dr. Clark, Revenge, Romany, Deronda, Oui Oul, Belzoni, Bradleys Toney, Extra Edition, Rinkey, Exodus, Moonraker, Roseate II., Guest of Honor, Lady Madcap, King ONeill II., Setting Sun, Flint Stone, O. Henry, Best Pal, Barracuda, Ma-vourneen, Rama, Second Thoughts and The Roll Call.
