KENTMERE challenged menacingly entering the stretch, but tired in the final sixteenth. THE GIRL, a forward contender throughout, held on well in the final drive. MONOPOLY finished on the inside and just lasted for second place. SHAFE, off slowly, closed a big gap and was going fast at the end. OUIDA saved ground throughout, but quit after going a half mile. COPYRIGHT displayed the most early speed and saved ground the entire way, but tired when the final test came. WILLIGAN, fractious at the barrier, outbroke his opponents, but was taken back and to the outside after going the first quarter mile.
