Won easily; second and third driving. SPEAR SHOT, a forward contender frcm the start, caught the leaders tiring after turning for home and easily raced into a clear lead when called on. ANZAC came wide turning for home, but made a fast finish. BOOMERANG showed speed, but tired and barely managed to outstay PUEBLO. The latter was well ridden and did his best. ZINON, away slowly, worked his way to the front, but tired in the final drive. MAYO B. showed speed, but tired after racing a good half. ROSA ATKIN finished gamely. FUROR parsed RED LEGS after rounding the far turn and took the lead, but readily gave way to the winner when challenged. THE WIT, forced to come wide when turning for home, finished fast. QUINCE GARDEN, away none too fast, was rushed into the lead and kept it to the last eighth, where lie readily gave way to the winner. LILT was under restraint dur.ing the early running, but was done after turning for home. MOKIUANA dwelt at the start, then showed speed, but tired in the final quarter. Won driving; second and third the same. THE ARAUCANIAN, showing flue speed, set a fast pace and, withstanding repeated challenges, outstayed PARVENU through the final sixteenth. The latter jumped up in the air at the start, then saved ground on the turns ami drew up on even terms with the winner midway of the stretch, but tired and had to be hard ridden to save second place. CIIIYA mr.de a game finish and I la steadily improving. CANYON had no mishaps. KNIGHTHOOD quit. !
