McNAUGHTON 1924 STABLE Veteran Trainer Has Seven Two-year-olds and Little Celt Wintering- at Belmont Park. NEW YORK, N. Y.. Feb. 21. Sandy Mc-Naughton will come to the races with seven two-year-olds and his four-year-old Little Celt when the New York "racing season opens. Last year he campaigned only two horses. Little Celt and Firm Friend, but he won twelve races and 9,343 with them. Firm Friend, which he sold during the Empire City meeting last fall, won eight races, finished second four times in his colors during 1923 for a total of 7,943. Little Celt was winner four times, third three times and unplaced once for a total of 1,400. The seven two-year-olds, which were purchased at Saratoga last summer, and Little Celt, are wintering well at Belmont Park and the breeding of the youngsters is such as to suggest good careers for them. All of them have been named and the appellations selected for them are all of Scotch origin. In addition to the McXaughton horses, the barn houses E. F. Cooneys Athelstan, five-year-old bay gelding, by Uncle Consuelo II., by Bradwardine, and F. M. Taylors Abu Ben Ahdem, three-year-old bay colt by Omar Khayyam La Delivrance, by Ajax.
